I have a propeller that is made by the Great american Propeller Company. I believe they were a small company in California.
In addition to the decal on the propeller, there are numbers stamped into the side of the hub. They are "70x68" I presume the 70 is the length of the propeller which is in fact 70 inches long.
I do not know what the 68 would indicate. I presume it has something to do with the pitch on the blade. If this is so, what exactly does it mean?
Any help with the further identification, year of manufacturer, used on what aircraft or value would be appreciated. I do have some pictures but do not know how to attach them yet.
