  • ID propeller

I have a propeller that has been in my family since the early 1920s. As far as we can tell from your website it fits a hall scott a7a engine. The only other markings that we have found on it is SC 4230. I think the SC means "Signal Corp" I would like to know if this could be a WWI plane or if there is any place I might be able to find a history on this propeller??

It's from that era, but was not used in WW1. (I think the only U.S. built plane used in the war was the DH4.) You are correct about the "SC".

It certainly looks similar, and maybe identical, to this propeller.

The likelihood of finding any actual "history" on it is nearly zero.
