  • Fokker E.IV / D.III Hembrug 1916 prop for sale

For sale in perfect* condition an unique 1916 Fokker E.IV / D.III propellor 160 HP Gnome model AA with the famous Hembrug stamp. Chauviere design, model AA, SP245.

    * By the expert: Research shows that this Hembrug propeller is made for a German Gnome rotary engine. Oberursel built a copy of Gnome’s 14-cylinder Double Lambda tworow rotary. This 160 hp (120 kW) engine, designated U.III in Germany, was difficult to build and quickly wore out in service. It was used on the Fokker E.IV and D.III designs. Length and pitch indicates this propeller possible served on the Fokker E.IV. It is known that a few Fokker E types are interned in the Netherlands in 1915 and early 1916. The propeller is in perfect condition. At the frontsite of the hub a small edge of wood had been partially cut out. This propeller contains the beautiful original brass tipped sheathing and famous Hembrug date stamp 1916.

Location is nearby Haarlem-Netherlands. If you like to see better photo's please contact: hansmooren@ziggo.nl
