Default US Propeller ID needed

This prop was given to me by a Navy Captain. He said it is from the WW II era and I trust his word. I have recently been given feedback that this prop is much more modern. Can anyone help identifying its manufacturing date? Please see attached images. Thank you.

World War II (?) Target Drone Wood Propeller. 2-bladed, red-tip, 44-inch propeller made by U.S. Propellers Inc. Serial NO. 22008/00283.

It's a very commonly found propeller and is almost certainly from a target drone used late in WW2 and in training well after WW2. Thousands of these were sold as surplus after WW2.

See this link, although I can't say for sure that this model was used on that exact drone.
