  • Mystery Lang Pusher Propeller?

Hello Forum members and Lt. Col Bob Gardner in particular,
I recently acquired a mahogany Lang propeller that has me a bit baffled. I have owned several Lang propellers over the years including a few for the Breese Penguin (this one is similar in shape, construction-5 laminations of Mahogany and engravings.) The Engravings are LANG PROPELLER DG. NO. 2.740 PITCH .956 DIA 1.677 NO. 3124. No signs of a manufacturer decal or tip fabric and undrilled. The dimensions are 66 1/8" length 3/3/4" thick at hub and 2" center bore. Any ideas as to what would have utilized such a short propeller (flightless trainer, dirigible, test propeller)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks, Scott
