Giving a power to Maybach SL11 engines is difficult because they were very special engines, with a high compression rate prohibiting use of full throttle at low altitude.

Perhaps Bob Gardner have the serial TP999 (or probably TP9xx) in his notes? And perhaps he would have something to tell about the prop number 22428 (if correctly read) vs date of SL11 crash (september 1916)?


PS: On the pictures, it seems there are also two lightening holes between each pair of bolt holes, and perhaps 2 or 3 bolts are missing.
