I need help identifying this propeller. It is hanging in my friends shop where we work on Model T's. I want to buy if from him but I want to find a value before making an offer on it. Attached are pictures of the propeller.
Here are the markings on the face. DN838 3158 GR2-38 1925RPM 125HP |

How did you determine that it was a Story propeller?
I don't know of a listing for them, so it may be impossible to know what aircraft it was designed for, but it's as much a clock as it is a propeller. So it's hard to determine a value for. It's not really "collectable", but it is an elegant design. Sometimes you can find a similar sale on eBay to give you a rough idea, but even that may not be reliable. There just aren't enough sales of comparable items to determine a database of prices. |

The propeller is stamped with "Story" on it. I can't read what is stamped under it.
