    What was it has come off? It's age? Value etc.

    Stamped 5P N.6 T3296 140HP RAF R.E.8

    It's for a British RE 8 aircraft using the RAF 140 HP engine. I don't see that drawing number on the listings I have, but the other stampings are fairly clear that it was designed for that airplane.

    Value depends heavily on condition, which isn't clear from the two photographs. It looks as if it may have been refinished, which would reduce its value considerably.

      The drawing number is very probably T6296. They can be very difficult to read. This was the standard prop for the RE8 aircraft. The designator letter T shows that it was designed at the Royal Aircraft Factory (RAF) at Farnborough, as was the RE8 and the engine, hence RAF 140hp.
