  • 1939 Propeller

    Hey everyone,

A good friend of mine has this propeller, given to him from his great grandmother. We hae some info on it, and was just wondering if anyone knows what it might be worth. Here is what we know about it...

The prop is off a 1939 Stranrear amfibious double winged plane
Serviced the east and west coast of Canada during the 2nd World War doing coastal patrol for submarines.
It could fly under the radar which made it very valuable and if need be could land on water being amfibious
The plane was made by Canadian Vickers out of Montreal for Supermarine Aircraft from the UK. The serial #'s and manufacturer are in the pics.

Check out the pics! Any other info or its value would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks for your time.

I think you know more about than most people know about theirs, and I'm not sure there's much to add.

As to value, you can't determine that without seeing the prop itself and knowing more about its condition.
