  • U.S. Propellers, Inc. Help

I found an old wooden propeller in a warehouse and I can't find any info on it. It has the US Propellers Inc. Pasadena, Ca decal on it and the DES 72C-57 and the SER. 16079. Any ideas would be appreciated.

All I can tell you about it is that it was built under Type Certificate #752 and was designed for a 75 HP engine (probably a Continental). The diameter should be 72 inches and the pitch 57 inches. The pitch is fairly "coarse" indicating that it was likely built for cruising rather than take-off performance.

To my knowledge there is no published list of U.S. Propeller model numbers associated with their aircraft usage.
