  • 1942 pt-22 prop

    have prop would like to find out how much it is worth.
    it has been in storage for 30 yrs

    pictures ?

    When I see post's of this nature, I am often tempted to just say, " post pictures, will evaluate ".

    So as civil as I can be, suffice it to say, you really need to take some pictures of your prop out in the sunlight which will really show the condition of your prop, some good sharp details of the hub and its markings is always helpful, plus some good shots of the tips as well and the decals if there are any on it. Good shots that are clear will really help the various people on this site to give a better evlauation of your prop.

      well sir thank you . being as civil as i can.
      first order was to make contact. as i am new here
      well manners are everything. i have pic of leading edges
      tips,hub ser#,model# bolt pattern ect.

        Welcome to the forum. I am anxious to see the pictures of your prop. Just a thought for you, since you are located down in riverside, I assume you are aware of the very cool airport known as " flabob ". Since there are some of the finest vintage aircraft around down there, it might be a good place to post a few pictures of your prop on the local bulliten board as well.

        See enclosed picture of a PT 22 taken last year at thier gathering down at " flabob ".

          thank you sir you know it a bute-of an aircraft.
          you know funny one of my coffee buddies this morning jut told me about
          that airport. he said the same thing.hope you can make a good look.

          the ser#'s are real weak.

            AS you may know already, that model number means it was manufactured under a 1942 military contract (not necessarily manufactured during that year, however). Go to this page. If I'm reading the model number correctly as 43K12335 it's the military contract version of one of the 90HA- models, which you then look up on this page.

            Looks to be in nice original shape with the old style "Lititz" decals.

              you know my paster was asking if there is a way to connect this prop
              to a specific plane it would be nice if some super ace trained on that
              propeller hahahahah. any way thnx for helping .
              friend of mine his wife works at march air base- museum
              in near by parris. this is becoming fun.

                EXTREMELY unlikely, as it would not appear in some kind of central (e.g. government) database. If you somehow came across a maintenance logbook that somehow had recorded that serial number installed on that aircraft, you'd have the connection.

                I haven't seen that happen yet.

                  any way its still a good clean prop and maybe worth some
