  • 10-hole hub propeller

On the cover of Bob Gardner's book, there is a 10-hole hub propeller. I have one just like it.

Mine is made of black walnut, is 8ft.-4in. in diameter and has scimatar-shaped blades. It also has the cast iron, splined drive hub assembly, complete with through bolts and nuts.

There are absolutely no markings of any kind on either the wooden prop or the cast iron hub assenbly - very strange.

I've been looking for this propeller in WWI aeroplane photos for years, with no luck. Anyone out there care to help me solve the mystery?

    Thanks,

    Dave

    Picture?

Still might be hard to identify, but it's a start.

      10-hole hub

I'll try to get a photo or two out when time permits. In the meantime, can Mr. Gardner tell me what propeller is on the cover (s) of his books?
