It appears to be a language other than English or German, and the number sequence doesn't appear to be French, so I'm just guessing that it is 2800 mm long (you can measure that) and has a pitch of 1950 mm, and was used on a 165 HP engine. Also guessing that it was manufactured in July, 1922.

"HM1" might relate to the airplane, and I think that the others are more likely serial numbers of some kind.

Can you post a picture? Are there decals or other means of identifying the manufacturer? Even insignificant appearing inspection stamps MIGHT help.

Perhaps Bob Gardner or Pierre-Michel will recognize the stampings. They visit here periodically.

I don't have any listings that would correlate with the markings, but it does appear to be consistent with post WW1 manufacture.

          Pictures uploaded for convenience.

              Hi,
              The markings are not French.
"HK" is HP in Norwegian and in Danish. So, I would look for an a/c used in those countries, using a 165 HP engine and for which MH-1 could be an abbreviation. There are list of military aircraft by countries in Wiki, but I don't know for civil.
Usualy, copper shielding is used on seaplanes, so begin by this kind of a/c: it will limit the number to look for!
              Regards,
              PM
