Hi; Are there any good auctions for antique wooden propellers?

Not many. They're more likely to appear in general auctions of antiques and collectibles, but you have to scour a lot of auctions to find one. I did that for years and found a few, but it was a lot of effort to find a good one.

There was one in France a few weeks ago, and I almost bid on one prop until I found that it wasn't quite what it appeared to be.

Another obstacle is absentee bidding if the auction is far away, and then arranging shipping of the item can be a challenge.

Hi Dave; Seems like ebay is a good choice. John

In general, I think eBay is OK for sellers, but buyers will rarely find a "bargain" there, and a number of people unknowingly end up buying junk, then get stuck with it because of the return shipping costs.
