I don't know how I would determine which was "most common", although if you knew the most common engine model used, I might narrow it down from that.
As far as more information, there isn't a lot. Having the drawings (blueprints) would provide a ton of information, but those are scarce to non-existent from my experience.Comment

With British propellers, there will almost always be a drawing number stamped on the hub, and the Windsock book you've ordered lists most of them and the aircraft they were used on. A lot of the French props have series numbers that can be referenced as well.
US props and German props can be hard to identify.Comment
