  • Request for Prop ID help

    hello all, I looked through the references provided but could not find a match for the prop I have. I have a picture posted below. I do not have a ruler or measuring tape available until next week so the length of appx 8-9 ft is a guesstimate.

    The stamped information is as follows:

    N=22992
    R. H.
    DWG. No. 3379

    It has eight bolt holes. On the reverse of the hub is stamped 22991 and at the three o'clock position are the numbers 2 2 lying sideways with the bases of each touching. At the nine o'clock position is stamped the number 1. The bolt hole at the nine o'clock position is also bored wider for the first 3/4 inch or so. Looks like it would line up the mounting in a specific position on the engine hub.
    If anyone can assist me with the identification of this it would be much appreciated. I'll have better measurements next week.

    thanks!

    The drawing number, 3379, is the key to identifying it, but I can't find that number in any of my lists, which mostly cover WW1 era. I suspect that it's a post WW1 era prop, most likely 20's or maybe thirties, but that's just a guess. Be sure to measure the hub dimensions and follow the link to a chart from this page.

            Additional measurements taken, they are as follows;

            Overall length, tip to tip 9' 1/4"

            B: Center Bore Diameter: 3 3/8 or 3 7/16"

            C: Bolt Hole Circle: 8"

            D: Diameter Hub: 10"

            E: Num. Bolt Holes: 8

            F: Bolt Hole Diameter: 1/2 or 7/16"

            G: Hub Thickness: 6 3/16"

            seems to match to a liberty in some measurements now that i look...
