I recently acquired this propeller blade with a tip which looks like a repair or perhaps a sort of reinforcement from start. Does anyone have an idea of its origin and why the tip is made like this?

It looks like a repair for display to me. I don't know any reason a manufacturer would do that, and I've never seen one similar to that. Prop tips are notoriously vulnerable to damage which requires them to be taken out of service.
