Identification help - Gipsy Major prop

Hello all

My prop has a DRG of LA 596/3, which does not seem to match anything on the DRG list. Beneath the DRG it says Gipsy Major.

Any ideas? Tiger Moth or Magister?

I would have thought almost certainly Magister. Presumably you have looked at this page?

I’m not sure what the /3 denotes but if you look at other numbers in the LA series, it appears to be the number that is specific to the aircraft type rather than the suffix.

Thanks; I had looked at the link you posted already - it’s where I got either Tiger Moth or Magister from
