Propeller Identification

Hi I am trying to identify a wooden propeller to find out a bit more about its history. Please excuse I know absolutely nothing about aviation.

It is 7ft long and wooden with metal trim.

It has many holes in the centre.

It has writing on the wood from what I can make out.

DRG - NO Y689/4
D 7-6
P 4-9

Go to the bottom of this page to find the drawing number "Y689", and although it has a (4) suffix it's most likely for an AVRO 504 or an AVRO Tutor. The other numbers refer to its diameter and pitch.

It would be very unusual to find anything about its actual "history" of use.

Since this was a post-WW1 era aircraft I have moved this to the "Modern" category.
