  • Hartzell Modern Wood Propeller Identification

Please help me identify this Hartzell Wood Modern Propeller.
The propeller is 90 inches in diameter and has eight bolt holes and the following markings are stamped on it:
    DESIGN A707 \ 80 (90)
    SR NO 2--941
    ENGINE 755 \ 7
    AIRPLANE AT\17
Some of the letters/numbers are hard to distinguish?
    Thank You

See this page and just scroll down to "707", which shows it matches a Beech 17L or an AT17 with a 225 HP Jacobs engine. The Jacobs engine model number was R755, consistent with the stamped number on yours.

There are a lot of Cessna AT17 wooden propellers around, because soon after they were manufactured in large quantities a variable pitch metal propeller replaced them, and many were either new surplus or used wooden props that had been removed. The AT17 (Bobcat) was featured in the early TV program Sky King.

If you can post photos it should be easy to tell if it was surplus or used.
