  • Help ID Prop received as a Christmas gift

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to all,
I’m new to this site and a 17yr old batting for flight lessons in Vermont.
I’m hoping you may be able to help me with identifying the prop I have just received as a gift. I have uploaded pictures but wasn’t sure how to email them over to you.
    It’s a Hartzell prop and has a hub # 64-9574 and is 42.5” long, 6 holes w 2” hub.
I’ve posted some Picts and hope they come out ok...
    Much thanks,
    Tucker Frank

Ps, Someone has mounded a 24hr wind-up aviation clock in the center of the hub...

It's almost certainly a drone prop - not the quadcopter drone you see now but a target drone used in the 40's. They looked like a small airplane with a front mounted propeller and normal looking wings, tail section, etc., but they were remotely controlled and used for aerial gunnery practice. A lot of them were manufactured in large quantities then ultimately sold off as surplus.

Where are you flying in Vermont? I'm in Rutland and just finished a four year run teaching at Vermont Tech in the Professional Pilot Program.
