  • Prop on display at KFCH terminal

KFCH is Fresno Chandler airport in, you guessed it, Fresno, CA. The 1930s Art Deco-style terminal has a great collection of military history with local roots. Lots of neat stuff.

Over the entry door from the ramp is hung a fantastic wooden prop. Two bladed and it looks like it's carved from one block. From tip to tip it's at least 8' (eight feet) and the blades are about eight inches wide at the tips.

FCH used to have scheduled service using DC-3s if that's any help. (I know this prop aint from a Gooneybird ) This aprt is reminiscient of the Bogart movie, Casablanca.

    KFCH display prop

Now that I think about it, the prop could well be 10' from tip to tip.

Can you tell us how many bolt holes it has in the hub, an accurate measurement of the diameter (the length) and any markings stamped into the prop. A picture would help too.
