Propeller Identification

Hello,

I am new to this so hopefully this is posted in the right place. I recently bought a wooden propeller at a local shop, and I am having a hard time identifying it.

It is inscribed with:

DRG. C.P. 3289 18.
D78•84. P60•45
86986
12/47

I have also attached a few pictures.

I can't find reference to that drawing number, and perhaps Bob Gardner will know more, but I will note that its size and rotation (left hand thread) suggest a British manufacture for a post WW1 airplane, probably December, 1947.

I much regret that I can't identify your prop either. I have trawled through my 4000+ drawing numbers without success.

I can tell you that it is British made for a light aircraft and that it was made in December 1947. The diameter and pitch suggest a Gipsy or a Cirrus engine which in turn suggests a De Havilland Moth light aircraft from the late 1930s or an Avro light aircraft of the same age.
