Bennett Propeller Identification
I have an 84" propeller with eight bolts and two "Bennett Propeller" stickers affixed to it. It appear to have "ob - 110" stamped into it. I would like any information on what type of propeller it is. (aircraft vs. airboat etc.) I would also be interested in any other information such as date of manufacture, type of plane it might have been used on etc. I intend to sell it, so any valuation information would be helpful. The previous owner spray painted the metal backside of the hub. (poorly) I have attached photo of the propeller and all identifying information that I could find.

Have the tips been cut down? A photo of the tips end-on might help. -

I have attached some photos of the tips. Not sure if they were cut down or not, but they are more squared off than what I see on most airplane propellers.Comment

Yes, the outer portion of both blades is missing. That's usually from a ground strike and makes the prop non-airworthy. I'm just guessing that the outer 6" is missing and that the prop was originally around 8 feet in diameter and may go as far back as an OX5 engine. (Check the hub dimensions here, although a match doesn't necessarily prove that it wasn't something else.) What's left of it resembles a "toothpick" style like this.
The damage and alteration to the tips really reduces its value significantly. If in fact it's an OX5 prop the metal hub may be worth more than the prop.Comment
