    There's not much available on U.S. Propellers, and they are mostly known for a large number of drone props made during/after WW2.

    I think the drawing number is actually 44K7797, which indicates it was manufactured under a 1944 military contract, and corresponds to civilian model 76FGSA, as shown on the attached scan.

    Where we are left off with this manufacturer is a listing of aircraft models that used that model propeller. But look closely at the footnote #2 at the bottom of the page. It lists a sequence of serial numbers that are not approved because of a manufacturing defect. Although it refers to model 76FGS (without the "A") I suspect that it's a minor factor and that yours was likely included in the non-certificated group. In that case it's pretty clear that it was intended to be used on the Interstate L6 with the Kinner engine.

    Is the bolt hole circle on yours 5 1/4" or 6"? See if it matches up with the numbers noted in footnote #2.
