DES89J Information requested

I have recently discovred a prop hub with following info stamped on it

DES89J
SER 8017 :
RPM 2575
HP 40

Can you help me with manufacturer ID and aircraft used on

[MWP_Lamar]

Is this a metal hub or a wooden propeller with the blades cut off leaving a remaining hub?

It is a wooden prop and I have only the hub and enough blade to contain the data. I have had it for many years and my feeling was that it was from
a 40 horse Cub or bird of that era. Iwant to confirm the Manufacturer and approximate date of manufacture.

Almost forgot, also have a full Lewis prop with the following stamped on the blade:

DESL16-37 Ser 850 HP 65 RPM 2550.

It is in nice condition with brass tip and leading edge and nice Lewis decal.

Unfortunately, it seems I have no information on either your hub or your full G.B. Lewis prop. Sorry.

I have a Sensenich propeller that is imprinted with:

DES,69J,
NO. 3766,
A,T,O, 564,

Maybe it is similar? Let me apologize if I am way off, here--I just found this forum yesterday when I was trying to find out what I had received from my Uncle Bill.

Thank you for trying to help Angel but it seems highly unlikely there's any relationship between the two props.

Yours if for an Aeronca K C, a Porterfield CP40 or CP40A, a Taylorcraft A or a Welch OW5M each with a Continental A 40/40 hp engine.
