Gardner DES 4052

Hi,

I have a Gardner DES 4052, with SER 44006 wooden Propeller. It measures 80 inches. 4 mounting holes. Width of the blade is 7 inches, at center where the 4 holes are its 7 3/4. The metal edge is 28.50 inches.

I was wondering if anybody has any clue as to year it was built, what engine it was designed for, what type of aircraft it went to, what would be the value of it?

Also what type of wood is the propeller?

Where would be a good place to sell it?

That drawing number is not listed on the list provided here, nor does it appear in another publication I have, so I can't help.

If your interest is in selling, I would say eBay is your best bet. My guess is that it would end up in the $400 to $700 range, but there is a LOT of variability in those prices.

Only four bolt holes? That's pretty unusual in my experience.
