Hello,everyone!
I'm new to this forum and very glad I found it!
Many years ago, a good friend gave me a propeller that came off one of his Stinson L-5s. It actually had a yellow tag on it but the tag is long gone. The prop was displayed on the wall of my hangar office for many years in the same condition it was when my friend gave it to me.
Unfortunately, someone with nothing but good intentions (and no sense) had the steel hub chrome plated. It looks awful!
I have removed the hub so I can have the chrome removed.
What sort of plating, if any was used on the hub to prevent corrosion?
The stampings on the wood under the hub are K15 S1 25500. What do they mean?
