  • Sensenich propeller

I have a Sensenich propeller that I am trying to identify, it has a Des of 80RS72 with a Ser. # 41431. I have found Des of 80R72 on Sensenich web site but none with the (S)...Did they leave out the S? Hp165 and RPM 2175 Thanks Paul Adams

It's the same usage as the 80R72. The addition of the letter 'S' indicates it was made with an integral wooden prop spinner.

      sensenich prop

I do not think this prop was ever to be put on a plane. It does not have any holes drilled in it for the bolts. It has a U.S. Marines clock in the center hole..Could this have been made for someone. I bought it this way back in 1963 in New Jersey from a junk store.

It may have failed the inspection process along the manufacturing route then pulled out as decorative souvenir by one of the workers. A few props had Type Certificates that applied to different hubs and were not drilled until it was determined what plane it would be used on.
