I have a Supreme propeller, some 82" long, 6 hole hub that has embedded on the wood the ID's of T over numbers 2035, and on the other side of the hub, the ID's of D-490. Does anyone on this forum know the date or the Airplane/Engine this was designed for? I was given the propeller in part payment for some flight instructions and ground instructions that I gave a student, back in the early 1960's. I will post a picture later, but thought maybe someone would respond if they have information, or even if you can't nail it down, please help. Thanks.

If you will supply the hub dimensions as shown here: http://www.woodenpropeller.com/Hubmeasure.html I'll do my best to ID the engine then perhaps the aircraft or some of the aircraft. The picture you post here may help, too.

Supreme Propeller
Thanks. Let me ask another question. When I first got this propeller from my student, it came from his father's garage attic. His father told him that it fitted an OX-5 engine. I have always believed this, but now am not sure.
The OX-5 if I am correct was an engine that was used on Jennies, and on several other airplanes of the 1920's. It is possible that this could be a propeller that fit that, but does the 6 hole and the dimensions even get close to that? Thanks for your opinion.
Also, the documentation I read about the Stone/Supreme Propeller Company of Wichita, KS indicates that the company opened in Wichita in 1927/1928 and was one of the companies that was forced to close in 1930 due to the economic crash of 1929. If this was true then the company had a short run in Wichita. Do you know anything more about this?

You're certainly welcome. My pleasure.
Sorry but there's not a chance yours is for an OX-5 engine. OX-5 props had 8 bolt holes and are quite a bit larger in diameter at 99 and 100 inches. The number of alleged Jenny props that aren't is amazing.
