I have been asked by e-mail to identify a Gardner prop which is outside my field of British and German props.
The data given is;
Engine - R755-9
h.p. 225 RPM 2000
A.T. 17
Drawing number : 43k13605
Serial number: A.f. 43-1139
90 1/2 in
I suspect this might be from a Jacobs-engined Cessna Crane, a twin-engined twin trainer, the prop presumably made in 1943, possibly for the RCAF.
The lady who owns the prop would appreciate any additional info and correction or confirmation of the above,
With kind regards,
Bob
