  • Seeking a Ham. Std. 2B20 Hub for these ERCO blades

I'm getting close to ready for a hub for these ERCO blades (just some stencil work and final finish/polish left). I need a Hamilton Standard 2B20 hub, as complete as possible, to complete this project. I have the couterweights, which I'll attach when the blades are in the hub.

The fully assembled prop will be 102" long. Each of the blades is 49" long and weigh 35 lbs each. The blades are carved from a high-density, laminated, compressed, plastic-impregnated block of wood called ‘Compreg’ - I counted 91 laminations - yes, ninety-one!

This is a really fun project and these blades are absolutely beautiful. They're from the early 1940's and flew on a Stinson Reliant V-77. The blades were 'dead' when I got them (see 3rd photo), and needed some TLC.
This is my second variable pitch prop.

I've posted on the 'old airplane' sites and emailed old-prop rebuilders and searched EBay and have come up pretty well dry. (Yes, I've spoken with Monty at 'NotPlaneJane' - very, very helpful).

Does anyone have any ideas on finding a 2B20?

I think the expert on variable pitch propellers is Monte Chase. You can contact him through his website notplanejane.com

If you will email me at lamar3 at earthlink dot net I'll put you in touch with a couple of people who may be able to help but they would prefer to keep their email addresses non-public.
