  • Identify UAV propeller

I have a wooden propeller that my Mom received in '58-'59

It is stamped US Propellers, Inc. Ser 24495 42R61X

Brand new - been hanging on a wall since received - what size plane was it on? year made, etc.

It is red tipped which I read was on UAV's.

If anyone has any info, I would truly appreciate it

I'm guessing that it's more like a UAV (drone) prop, which U.S. Propellers was known to manufacture (although they did make some certificated aircraft propellers). If the design number is what I think it is your prop would be 42 inches long, and that's a size that would indicate a drone application.

      Thanks for the reply

Dave - yes, it's 42" long - do you have any idea what year it might have been made in?

My Dad had passed and Mom was dating a fellow in the USAF - he gave it to her - I was young, so don't know the story behind her receiving it and she doesn't remember.

No, nothing accurate. I suspect that they were manufactured in the late 40's and 50's, but I don't think there are any resources that can validate that.
