  • Propeller with DKSH markings

Wooden propeller with copper leading edge, approx 6 - 8 feet, 8 hole bolt pattern, two blades, nacelle, only visible markings: DKSH 619 RH and a serial number 9678. Mounted on a wall at an office, near DuPage County, IL airport. Prop belonged to owner's father who was a flier, prop found in attic. Looks perfect. Can anyone identify engine/more info? Thanks!

Can you get a picture? If it's in perfect condition there typically would be decals (although not always) or at least some other indication of the manufacturer.

Are you positive of the numbers? For instance, when we see "DKS" stamped together we start thinking "DES" which may look about the same. I don't see any design numbers corresponding to 619, so you might check that carefully and see if there's any possibility that one of those might be a different number.

      Closer inspection

The mystery becomes somewhat clearer - upon closer inspection the propeller is DES H819 RH #9618.

I don't find that drawing number either.
