I'm trying to ID a propeller I got as a gift. It's 48 inches long by 6 1/2 wide. It is metal clad with 80 or more copper rivets that have been slodered on each blade. The metal on both blades is stamped Hartzell. It is a dark wood, possibly mahogany with 6 bolts at the hub. Hub inner diameter is approx 2 1/2 inches. Stamped into the wood are the following:
317T-48
42111-A
and possibly the letters (so faint as to be almost invisible)
SR
URSIG
Also the number 1 is stamped on one blade and the number 2 is stamped on the other blade.
I thought it might be an airboat prop since it is short and has square tips, but the metal clading is extensive and appears to be very labor intensive. Any clues would be welcome. Thanks.
