Hello, I have a propeller that I inherited from my grandfather.
It was originally around 12' 6" in diameter (one side of the propeller is missing, from the hub on), it has 10 holes for bolts, and the information on the hub is:
D 12 6
ACG NO 12275
MAY/29
DRG ID 6803
SOUTHAMPTON
LORRAINE
The propeller was a gift to my grandfather from the captain of an Argentinian naval vessel that paid a visit to Limon, on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica (my grandfather was either the Governor of the province or Port Captain at the time). It was damaged and it was mounted on a wooden stand, it has the hub and one half of the propeller.
From the information it would appear it was for a british build aircraft.
Any suggestions?
Best regards,
Alvaro Ventura
