  • Sensenich Wooden Propeller

I have a wooden propeller manufactured by Sensenich Bros. Lititch, PA. It has 6 holes in the hub, is 76 1/4" long and has the marking E6146 on the back of the hub. It also has two more markings on opposite sides of the back of the hub, a 1 and a 2. This propeller was used on a military airplane in Lubbock, TX during the second world war by my uncle. Can anyone shed any light on what airplane this propeller was used on ?

    Thanks,

E6146 is most likely the serial number indicating it was made between June and October of 1944. Somewhere else on the prop is the stamped design number, most likely beginning with the number 76, the diameter. With the design number you can narrow down the prop's usage.
