Picked up this propeller at a sale and I know nothing about propellers. It's Model # is 72KXL44K and the serial # is AF8190. It's 72 inches long and at it's widest point, 12 inches. I was thinking about reselling it but I cannot price it until I find out around the year it was made. I've read descriptions of airboat props and it sounds similar to those but I am unsure. Any help is greatly appreciated.

To the best of my knowledge the letter X in the middle of the model number signifies it's an airboat prop.

I'd say the "value" is somewhere around $200 or so as a display prop. What often happens on eBay is that someone bids high thinking that they are buying an airplane propeller and then are disappointed when the facts emerge. Keep an eye on eBay. You will see them sell there periodically.DaveComment
