FLOTTORP Info

I recently acquired a Flottorp propeller with the following information stamped on it.
On the Hub 3747
50

On the blade 3747
74GA-50

On the back of the hub between the bolt holes (6) is the letter J

On the back of the Hub outside the bolt pattern are the numbers 1 and 2 diagonal to each other.

74" with 2 1/4" dia. Hub

Any aircraft/engine type information would be appreciated.

I'm not sure about the "G" in "74GA50", but there is a Flottorp prop with a 74A50 design number that was used on several aircraft with 65 HP engines, includingand Aeronca 65TF, a Cessna 120 and 140, a Luscombe 8A. The 74B50 model was used on similar aircraft with a Lycoming engine, while the "A" model seemed to be used on Continental and Franklin engines. Again, I can't find reference to the "G" in any of my lists, but it's not unusual to see some variation in those designations depending on when it was made. This list is from a 1944 catalog.

Could the "G" actually be a "C"? They do show a 74CA model whose type certificate expired in September, 1948.

The design number does likely indicate the length as 74 inches and the pitch as 50 inches.
