  • Modern era wooden propeller

    Hello All,

My son was given an old wooden propeller by his grandfather by his grandfather who was a pilot during WWII. Here is a discription of the propeller. It's 102" long, has a brass leading edge and is painted red. The hubs inside diameter is aprox 2 5/8" and the OD is about 7.5". The last 22" of each blade was covered in some type of fabric before being painted. There are no #'s or decals visible. I will try to add some photo's after I figure out how to do so.

    Thanks
    Charles

Click the "Edit" button, then in the bottom of the space that shows up afterward click "manage attachments". It will ask you to browse your computer to choose the picture files and after you select them hit "upload". They should show up as attachments to your post.

That's certainly an attractive prop, with its graceful scimitar shape. I've not seen one before with a metal band. I have no idea what aircraft it fit or who made it.
