I understand what you mean about the varnish, but if I had not cleaned the drops we would never have know it was a Levasseur, and the drops were dry and sticked on the wood so that everything went away just whith using a wet sponge... And my whife was not ok for the living room with drops.... You can imagine....
Two more details:
I agree the blade on my decals have the "biconvex shape"
I can compare the varnish with the photo you show us, and threre is a big difference, mine is very "light" ( it still exists at the back of the propeller) and you can see the detail of pieces of wood through it, and I would say its more orange that brown.
If you want, I can send a photo of the back side in the original aspect.
