Old prop I need help to ID

I came into possesion of this prop in Key West (Florida)USA 3 years ago.I would like to ID and also all information related to it.Engine,aircraft,value etc etc..
The markings on the propeller hub read:
CURTISS (dificult to read)
long 250 cmts
DRG nº AB 543
under a 6
under a 503A
Hole hub diameter 70mm
Hub wide 70 mm
FACE numbers:
1 and 2 in each side
Number I280 and below and 8
side 958
If anyone can help me I will really apreciate it.

Hello Lluis,

Your prop is British and very probably one used by the Royal Navy around 1916-1918. The drawing number is likely to be AD543 not AB543.

It was used with the Curtiss 90hp OX2 engine. The diameter was 2520mm and the pitch was 1580mm. These will be stamped on the hub and probably are the similar numbers that you can just read.

The prop was fitted to several aircraft used by the Royal Naval Air Service, the Curtiss JN3, the JN4 and JN4A and also the DH6 and Maurice Farman Shorthorn.

If you were to sell it at auction here in GB it would make about 700 GBP, about 1100 USD.

To buy a replacement in restored condition from a dealer, which is the usual definition of insurance value, about 1600 GBP, about 2600 USD.
