  • How Two Propeller Halfs Become One

    I came across this statement in the material section of the website.

    "American Propeller Company (Paragon) devised a method to balance half-blades individually, then join these at the hub".

    This assembly system has sparked my interest.
    Does anyone have any pictures or documents showing this type of construction? I am curious how they held the two haves together in the completed assembly.

    What Paragon did was match laminations of wood, then glue them together to even out the variations. I think I have the brochure that describes it and I'll try to post that here.

      Attached is a photo of the Paragon 3 blade hub scheme. Of course the 2 blade was much simpler.
