Any help identifying the following propeller

Hello experts, I got this propeller from a family member out of Grand Haven, Michigan, whose grandfather was a mechanic during World War I.

After measuring it appears to be a "Wright A" (hub thickness = 7", Hub Dia = 7 7/8", Center Bore 3 3/16" and Bolt Circle 6 11/16"). Attached are some close up pictures. Any additional information would be great, like where was it made and what type of plane was it used on. There are 3 bullet holes through it in a pattern, so I would guess this was used before gun synchronization.

I believe the Wright A was a variant of the 150 HP Hispanzo Suiza and was used on a number of different U.S. built aircraft. One of the common ones was the JN4H ("Jenny") and your prop certainly is about the right size and configuration to be consistent with that. See this propeller for comparison. Here's another similar one. That being the case, it's very unlikely that a Jenny would have bullet holes anywhere, as they were not used in combat.

Here of five pictures of the bullet holes. They appear to be about 23 inches from the center of the hub. There are 5 holes on one blade and one hole on the edge of the other. Please note that about 15 years ago my father-in-law decided to re-finish the propeller, thus staining the holes themselves. Other than that, they are untouched.
