Fiat Wooden Propeller

I am hoping somebody can help me find out more about an amazing item that we have in our family and I would really like to find out more about the history of the item and get a value of the item.

My grandfather served with the Allied Forces and was involved in the liberation of Italy, served in North Africa and Abyssinia. He bought back with him a wooden propeller from Fiat Aeroplane which he turned into a clock. There are no modifications made to the propeller to accomodate the clock.
