9 bolt holes?

Hi there,

I saw a picture on the internet of a propeller with 9 holes? is this normal?
the owner claims that the wooden prop is from the 20's.
length; 3 meters. Is does has some indentification but don't know yet what it is: 13.. ES
and some other numbers

Yes, 9 bolt holes is certainly possible and not unheard of although very unusual. The markings will hopefully tell the better story. A vast majority of aircraft props have either 6 or 8 bolt holes.

I must have been out of my mind yesterday as I had to edit this post to correct the number of bolt holes in most props.

I make this post simply to highlight the fact that I may have mis-informed some concerning the usual number of bolt holes.
