Hi,
I recently came across a propeller hub clock that is apparently from a Sopwith Triplane. The clock is from Smith's in London. There weren't many Triplanes built, so this may be a rather rare example. The stencelling says 'LP2100, 130 HP Clerget RH, SOPWITH TRIPLANE, N2646 (LP 2100 stands probably for Lang Propeller Number 1200, Sopwith Triplanes were equiped with a 130 HP Clerget rotary engine, RH is right hand movement. I have no information on the N number, though). On the opposite site it reads D2760 (diameter of 2760 cm), GUNTIMING, P2430 (Pitch?). It is nicely decorated also with spent rounds of ammunition labelled KN16 VII (produced in 1916 which would fit with the use of Sopwith Triplanes in the RFC). Any confirmatory/corrective and additional information is very welcome.
Best wishes, TCM
