Good afternoon,
I will be yet another person to enter your very helpful and information forum, to ask experts for information on a propeller I purchased recently.
It is a 7ft 3” wooden (potentially mahogany) Propeller with brass tips fitted with an AM 10A/10449 WW2 RAF clock
Unfortunately there are no real identification marks. There is the serial number 19939
The adaptation of the propeller to fit the clock to the centre, would appear to be an older combination, which is very well executed.
The clock was issued for use in RAF Radio Rooms, but examples can also be seen attached to desks in operations rooms.
If any one would like any advice on vintage or antique watches, including military issue and aviation examples, I am happy to help.
Please consider that offering a thank you in advance for seeking the forums knowledge. I run my own business dealing in vintage wristwatches.
Kind regards,
Bill Penaluna
