  • Help Identifying a Wooden Propeller

    Hello everyone,

I'm trying to identify a wooden propeller and would really appreciate any information you can provide. Here are the details I have:
    • Marking: 35 PS
    • Name inscribed: HAAKE (not sure if it's spelled correctly)
    • Diameter: 220 cm (87 In)
    • Pitch (St): 115
    • Shaft diameter: 6 cm (2.36 In)

If anyone recognizes this propeller or can provide clues about its manufacturer, era, or the aircraft it may have been used on, I would greatly appreciate your help.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

    Possibly for Haacke engine HFM-2a : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haacke_HFM-2
If it was this engine (1300 rpm) the pitch (1.15 meter) seems too low for flying (1300 x 1.15 x 60 / 1000 = 89.7 km/h). So, perhaps as the pic under the engine in Wiki page, for a non flying use.

Hope some better advice by a German forum member!

    Regards,

      Hi,

It seems that forum members on American sites have the same (or more?) percentage of impolite people than on French ones... Many come with a question and never write any thank to people who takes some time to answer... One more here!
