Hi,
I am researching a two-blade fixed-pitch wooden prop stamped on the top and bottom of the hub as follows:
Top stampings
DRG No. DH 50972
PUMA
RH Tractor
Bottom stampings:
D 8.75
P 7.4
ACG 90528
ACG Nov 27
I understand from the top stampings that the prop is for a Siddeley Puma engine, right-hand tractor, however I cannot find any reference in the British Props list on this Forum or elsewhere online to the specific De Havilland drawing number 50972. Can anyone shine a light on this please?
I can read the diameter and pitch from the bottom stampings, and assume that ACG is the prop maker (made in November 1927).
I have all of the reference books written by Bob Gardner but in this case they don't help with either the De Havilland drawing number or in identifying ACG.
I'd be grateful for any assistance please.
Cheers,
Jason
